- Gait training devices to help with balance, posture and weight-bearing deficits

Depending on the types of therapy you receive, your inpatient rehabilitation team may include a rehabilitation nurse, dietitian, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist or case manager.
Occupational therapy
Our occupational therapists focus on helping you adapt to the tasks you need to perform every day, such as bathing, dressing and eating. We can use therapeutic techniques to improve your fine motor skills, restore balance and increase your functional ability.
Physical therapy
This type of therapy is often prescribed to relieve discomfort, improve recovery from injuries or increase strength after an illness or surgery. Depending on your situation, a physical therapist may prescribe exercises with various devices to help regain your strength. They may also use massage, heat and ice or ultrasound.
Speech therapy
Our speech-language pathologists work to improve your communication skills and issues related to speech, swallowing, memory and thinking. Speech therapy is beneficial to individuals who have been impacted by an injury, surgery, neuromuscular diagnosis, hearing impairment or a condition that makes swallowing difficult.
We also offer the following additional services:
- Dietary counseling — Our licensed dietitians can help you establish healthy eating habits that will support your healing journey.
- Rehabilitation nursing — We have specially trained rehabilitation nurses who provide 24/7 personal care and support for your functional and medical needs.
- Respiratory care — Our respiratory therapists assist with diagnosing lung or breathing disorders, performing tests and determining the appropriate treatment option for your condition.
- Social services — Our social workers are a valuable resource to you and your family. They connect you to the appropriate community resources and ease your transition back home. If you need medical equipment to help you when you are discharged, our social workers can help get the equipment as soon as possible.
